CHL

Cole Coskey – 2019 7th Round, 209th pick

He had a good draft year with 63 points in 52 games. But he’d already been passed up once before at the draft tables so taking him in the seventh wasn’t too strange.

He’s a bit older than some of the other players in the league. Coskey is already 20 and is now playing in his fifth season with the Saginaw Spirit. His hard work to get to the NHL is paying off. Not only was he drafted, but he’s having quite the year so the Spirit.

With 35 points in 29 games, Coskey is on pace for 82 points. With a season like that, you have to think an ELC with the Isles and a chance to play in the AHL is in order.

Felix Bibeau – 2019 6th Round, 178th pick

Yet another pick from the Isles 2019 draft class that is doing well in the CHL. The Quebec Remparts winger now has 35 points in 31 games. He leads his team in points on the season. In his draft year, he was playing for Noah Dobson’s Acadie-Bathurst Titan’s and alongside Peter Abbandanato who had 111 points in 68 games.

Like Coskey, Bibeau is older than most of his colleagues. He turns 21-years-old in March which accounts for his later draft pickup. And just like Coskey, if this keeps up an ELC might be in the works by the end of the year.
