Ruslan Iskhakov – 2018 2nd Round, 43rd pick

Over his last five games, Iskhakov has five points to his name. The Russian forward continues to improve his game with UConn.

He’s small but he’s clearly a very talented forward. Taking him in the second round, two picks after selecting defenseman Bode Wilde, the Islanders knew they were getting someone with some talent, but how much, as it is with any prospects, wasn’t clear.

Now in his junior year with UConn, Iskhakov is starting to standout amongst the crowd.

Along with the other three guys picked by the Islanders in the first two rounds, Lou Lamoriello and his staff have an impressive first draft.
