2. Alan Quine Game 5 vs Florida

With the series tied at two games apiece, the Isles faced a very pivotal Game 5 matchup in Florida. Historically, the Isles were awful in Game 5’s and going down 3-2 would just lead to likely another first-round exit.

The game would head to overtime tied at one goal apiece. In OT, Aleksander Barkov would get a penalty shot and the Isles faithful collectively held their breath. Thomas Greiss came up with a huge stop on Barkov and play continued.

16:00 minutes into overtime it was unlikely hero Alan Quine who came up with a huge goal on the power play.

Quine was probably one of the more unlikely heroes for the Islanders. He played just two regular-season games that year and at this point in his career he only has 10 NHL goals but there was none bigger than his 2016 Game 5 goal.
