Prospect Rankings and Movement

There’s little to no movement for Islanders prospects in my rankings so I wanted to show you what my top ten looks like.

Top 10 prospects

  1. Kieffer Bellows
  2. Oliver Wahlstrom
  3. Noah Dobson
  4. Mitchell Vade Sompel
  5. Robin Salo
  6. Samuel Bolduc
  7. Bode Wilde
  8. Ruslan Iskhakov
  9. Parker Wotherspoon
  10. Otto Koivula

Would you change anything from this list? Based on how I’ve seen these prospects play I’d change things around.

Oliver Wahlstrom would be my number one while Kieffer Bellows drops down to number three. Last week, I would have had Bellows below both Bolduc and Salo. But with the way he’s played at the NHL level, it’s impossible for him not to sit in the top three.

I would keep Salo over Bolduc because of the depth and breadth of Salo’s experience playing in a men’s league. Bolduc is playing very well, but he’s been playing against men for a single year now.

Parker Wotherspoon would drop out entirely, Mitchell Vande Sompel would rank ninth and Simon Holmstrom (who ranks 22nd) would move up to number 10.
