NY Islanders captain Anders Lee announces location for his next Kancer Jam event

Earlier this week, New York Islanders captain Anders Lee teased the date and location for the next Kancer Jam fundraising event. We now know it will take place on Saturday, September 16th, on the outdoor recreation rink at the Northwell Health Ice Center in East Meadow.

Lee, a King Clancy award finalist this past June for his leadership qualities on and off the ice, has been part of Jam Kancer in the Kan initiatives for the last seven years. In that time, his events raised over $300,000 for cancer research and established the Fenov Memorial Scholarship, named after Fenov Pierre-Louis, the teenage boy that inspired Lee and many others as he battled Stage 4 Neuroblastoma. Fenov passed away in 2018.

On an annual basis, Lee and the foundation awards "Fenov Scholarships" to graduating high school seniors continuing on to college who have "provided help and sympathy" to someone with "kancer."

Anders Lee Kancer Jam IV will give Islanders fans and those that want to help raise money for this great cause a chance to compete side-by-side with Lee's teammates. Each team will consist of two participants. Only 32 team slots are available, with each team committing to donate or fundraise a minimum of $2,700.
