Team Canada beat up on Team USA as the US dropped their second in the World Cup Of Hockey and they are eliminated from the semi finals.

First thing’s first gotta tip your hat to Canada they are clearly the better team. That said Team USA embarrassed themselves in the World Cup of Hockey tournament. In both of their games they didn’t look like themselves.

This time the hit numbers went back up but that didn’t result in more points. Besides a late goal, it was pretty much all Canada.

The US has one more game to play, but they are eliminated the game doesn’t matter. If you’re team USA what do you have to do different in the future?

They have to change their style. They were focused on hitting and being physical but Canada was skating circles around these guys. It’s not as if the US doesn’t have talented players? In the first warm up game of the tournament the US actually beat Canada.

Some of the blame has to go on John Tortorella. Strategy seemed to play a role in the two loses for Team USA.

Not having your guys prepared falls on the coach. Islanders fans get on Jack Capuano for not having his guys up for elimination games the last two years so it’s only right to get on Tortorella as well.

If we’re going to look at a positive, at least John Tavares looks amazing. He put on some sweet moves tonight.

The birthday boy is breaking ankles out there! He’s been clicking really well with his teammates. Hopefully for the Islanders this transitions to when he comes back to the team.

We all know how talented he is, and this is kind of serving as preseason to him. Hopefully he continues in this solid groove.

Canada advances, which means I’m all in on Team North America, at least they are fun to watch. It’s been ugly for Team USA they need to seriously shake things up before the next international tournament.
