The Eyes on Isles Podcast returns for episode number 84 as Matt and Mitch will discuss all things New York Islanders on and off the ice.

It was a tough week in New York Islanders land. They went 2-3 over the last five games and in the three games, they lost they were shutout. Six goals over a five-game stretch isn’t going to cut it for a playoff team.

We found out yesterday that Andrew Ladd tore his ACL and will be out for the next four to five months, ending his season. It’s been a very difficult three years for Andrew Ladd in an Islanders sweater and that continues with his injury-plagued season coming to an end.

This week on the site, we also talked about who our “crunch time six” is. Essentially who are the six guys you want out there on the ice in the most important moments of a game?

We also discussed which three guys on the Islanders are overrated by the fans and the team. We’ll get into who makes our list on episode 84 of the Eyes on Isles Podcast. Here’s the topic rundown for the show tonight:

Topics

The Islanders lost Andrew Ladd for an ACL injury. He will be out for the next five months and he hopes to be ready for training camp. We’ll get into what it means for the Islanders lineup down the stretch.

Bad Offense

The Islanders have just six goals in the last five games including three shutouts. How can this be fixed, or maybe a better question is will it be fixed?
