The Eyes on Isles Podcast returns for episode number 115 as Matt and Mitch will discuss all things New York Islanders on and off the ice.

Another week, some more New York Islanders wins we have to talk about it. The Isles are sitting pretty on a break, as they wait for the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday. But for now, we’ll just have to recap the week in review.

We’ll start by talking the Isles latest win streak, it’s now up to seven games. For more postgame content make sure to subscribe to our Patreon page.

Casey Cizikas returned to the lineup and his importance to the lineup has been on display. With all the injuries, will his role with the team get any better or is he just going to be a fourth-line role no matter who his linemates are?

Matt Martin and Tom Kuhnhackl are headed to IR, Otto Koivula got called up to help out. With these injuries how will the forward group look like and what would our ideal lineup look like?

We also want to go over our five biggest surprises from the season so far. Mitch and I will each have our own list and debate which moments are newsworthy and which aren’t.

Here’s what you can expect from episode 115:

Games

Recapping the Islanders last few games, they are now 8-3 on the season and the hottest team in the league.

Cizikas

The Islanders welcomed back Casey Cizikas with open arms. His impact on the team is more measurable than just about any other fourth liner in the league.

Martin and Kuhnhackl

Matt Martin and Tom Kuhnhackl are headed to IR. What are the lineups going to look like without these two?

Five Biggest Surprises

Who are the Islanders five biggest surprises in the 2019-2020 season? We’ll go over both of our lists.

Quiz

Mitch will pick someone from the 2015 draft class to quiz me on. It usually goes not so great for me.

Social

In the social segment, we’ll answer questions and talk about the biggest stuff from Isles Twitter this past week.
