The Eyes on Isles Podcast returns for episode number 137 as Matt and Mitch will discuss all things New York Islanders on and off the ice.

Week 3 in the quarantine. It hasn’t been a particularly easy thing for us with everything going on in the world but we’re going to try to distract you the best we can and talk some New York Islanders hockey with you guys.

We’re going to get into hypotheticals this week. Answering five “what if’s” about the 2019-2020 season and trying to think of a way for the NHL to return in some capacity this year.

For March Madness, we had a best player in franchise history bracket. Mike Bossy was the winner and we’ll discuss whether or not that was fair and if someone else should’ve gone further than what they did.

Mitch will also give some insight into his “Core of the four” series and what that is all about. Here’s what you can expect from episode 137:

Topics

5 What If’s

Would the Islanders make the playoffs? Would Cizikas return help? What about Brock, would he score 30 goals? All this and more in the what if segment.

Best player in franchise history

We had a tournament to decide the best player in franchise history. We’ll discuss the results of the tournament.

Core of the Four

Mitch will explain his new segment he’s spearheading on the blog. Discussing the players who won four cups with the Islanders.

Quiz

Mitch is going to quiz me on someone who played 37 games as an Islander. As you’d expect it usually doesn’t go very well.

Social

In the social segment, we’ll answer questions and talk about the biggest stuff from Isles Twitter this past week.
