The Eyes on Isles Podcast returns for episode number 143 as Matt and Mitch will discuss all things New York Islanders on and off the ice.

Nine weeks in the Q! I hope everyone is staying safe out there, as we are back to discuss the New York Islanders on our lovely 143rd edition of the Eyes on Isles Podcast.

We’re going to kick things off with the latest plan for the NHL. They have a couple of options remaining for a restart, we’ll go over each plan and what it means for the Islanders and the remainder of their 2019-2020 season.

Tanking. It’s a word that brings up a lot of mixed reactions in sports. Today, we’ll bring up the pros and cons for tanking and if it’s something we should really care about.

Lastly, obviously getting a scoring winger in here would help a bunch but if we look at the current roster is there anybody better to put with Mathew Barzal than Anthony Beauvillier? We’ll investigate.

Here’s what to expect from episode 143:

Topics

NHL Plan

The 16 teams vs 24 teams and what it means for the Islanders if and when the season gets back underway.

The Tank Debate

Is tanking really that bad? A look at tanking and if it’s something that should be gotten rid of or something that should be embraced.

Reunite Beauvillier and Barzal

Mitch feels strongly about Beau playing with Barzal. We’ll take a look at if it would be beneficial to the Islanders if they did that.

Quiz

Mitch is going to quiz me on someone who played 43 games as an Islander. As you’d expect it usually doesn’t go very well.

Social

In the social segment, we’ll answer questions and talk about the biggest stuff from Isles Twitter this past week.
