The Eyes on Isles Podcast returns for episode number 147 as Matt and Mitch will discuss all things New York Islanders on and off the ice.

We’re back for another week of Islanders talk. On today’s show, we’ll be getting into some topics such as three candidates who can surprise us in the playoffs. Last year it was Jordan Eberle who took over, who will it be this year?

We’ll also talk about hockey getting a lack of respect. Whether it’s Max Kellerman or the New York Post, hockey got put in a blender this week and we’ll discuss why it bothers us so much.

Phase 2 is starting on Long Island, which means the Isles can practice in small groups. This is a good start as we attempt to get back to normal here.

Here’s what you can expect on episode 147 of the Eyes on Isles Podcast:

Topics

3 candidates to surprise

Mitch wrote something this past week about three people who he thinks can be candidates to surprise in the playoffs. We’ll discuss our choices.

Hockey Gets No Respect

How is Mike Bossy not the best athlete to wear number 22 in New York Sports history? And why Max Kellerman couldn’t be anymore misinformed.

Phase 2

Practice started on Monday, in small groups. Why that’s great news for the NHL as they gear up for a return.

Quiz

Mitch is going to quiz me on someone who played 47 games as an Islander. As you’d expect it usually doesn’t go very well.

Social

In the social segment, we’ll answer questions and talk about the biggest stuff from Isles Twitter this past week.
