The Eyes on Isles Podcast returns for episode number 150 as Matt and Mitch will discuss all things New York Islanders on and off the ice.

150 weeks ago, Mitch and I brought you episode one of the Eyes on Isles Podcast. We’ve done it for nearly three years at this point, never taking a week off from the podcast, and I couldn’t be more thankful and appreciative to have the opportunity to talk Islanders hockey ever week.

We’re going to reminisce a little bit to start the show and talk about how much things have changed over the last 150 weeks, but then we’ll get into the news of the week.

We’ll talk about the draft lottery and why the Islanders are NOT in a position to tank. If the consolation prize is the first overall pick fine, but that’s not the goal.

Next up, we’ll get into the Hall of Fame. We’ll talk snubs and then who the next Islander into the HOF should be. Lastly, we’ll get into the hub cities and its impact on the Islanders.

Here’s what you can expect from episode 150:

Topics

Celebrating 150

How did the Eyes on Isles podcast start, and what has happened since we decided to start doing a podcast?

Draft Lottery

If the Isles lose to Florida, there’s a 12.5 percent chance of the team landing the first overall pick. We’ll discuss the idea of tanking and what the mindset should be.

Hall of Fame

We’ll breakdown the HOF snubs and get into who we think the next Islander in is going to be.

Hub Cities

We’ll talk about Edmonton and Toronto being the hub cities and how it impacts the Isles.

Quiz

Mitch is going to quiz me on someone who played 47 games as an Islander. As you’d expect it usually doesn’t go very well.

Social

In the social segment, we’ll answer questions and talk about the biggest stuff from Isles Twitter this past week.
