The Eyes on Isles Podcast returns for episode number 153 as Matt and Mitch will discuss all things New York Islanders on and off the ice.
We’re inching oh so close to Islanders hockey, I can almost taste it. On this week’s episode of the Eyes on Isles Podcast, we’re going to take a look at some of the big storylines from training camp this week.
We’ll get into Kuhnhackl, the goalies, the power play, and Mat Barzal scoring. Also, we wanted to take a look at weaknesses in Florida’s game. How they’ve looked since the Isles played them last and what to expect from them in this series.
Lastly, JG Pageau is still the new kid on the block. We’ll get into what to expect from him in the playoffs and how he could best be used.
Here’s what to expect from episode 153:
Training Camp Notes
What are the lines looking like, is Tom Kuhnhackl going to get the nod on L3, which goalie is leading the way, and how will the power play look?
Weakness in Florida’s game
We’re going to look at Florida and see what they do best and where the Isles might be able to take advantage.
What can fans expect to see from Pageau and will he be able to produce with his expected linemates on line three?
Mitch is going to quiz me on someone who played 53 games as an Islander. As you’d expect it usually doesn’t go very well.
In the social segment, we’ll answer questions and talk about the biggest stuff from Isles Twitter this past week.
