The Eyes on Isles Podcast returns for episode number 163 as Matt and Mitch will discuss all things New York Islanders on and off the ice.
Well, now there’s no hockey for the foreseeable future. It’s going to be an interesting time in Islanders land as they have a lot of work to do before next season starts, whenever they’re able to start up again.
We’ll start off by catching up on Lou Lamoriello’s comments from his press conference yesterday. He gave us some nuggets to chew on there.
Then we’ll get into buyouts. The buyout period is open, but will the Isles be able to take advantage of that going forward or will they opt for trades instead? Speaking of trades, Lou is going to have his hands full with cap dumps.
Looking at what Marc Staal just got moved for, it’s not going to be easy for Lou to move out pieces even to teams who need to meet the cap floor. Lastly, we’ll take a look at Oliver Wahlstrom and what we can expect from him.
Here’s what you can expect from episode 163:

Cap Dump Prices
It looks like the market isn’t going to be too kind to the Islanders or any other team looking to sell off expensive pieces.

What do we like from Oliver Wahlstrom? Can he be the guy in 2020-2021?
