The Eyes on Isles Podcast returns for episode number 164 as Matt and Mitch will discuss all things New York Islanders on and off the ice.

Finally, the New York Islanders will make a draft selection today! After having to sit out yesterday’s festivities the Isles will be in action with the draft and we’ll have you covered with our reaction on the podcast tonight.

Also, on Friday free agency is set to begin. There should, keyword being should, be some activity from the Islanders over the next few days so we’ll preview what to expect from free agency on Friday.

Derrick Brassard has been linked back to the Isles in free agency. Mitch and I will debate the effectiveness of bringing Brassard back or if we would rather see the kids get more of a chance in 2020-2021.

Here’s what to expect from episode 164:

Topics

Draft

We’ll discuss the draft and who the Isles were able to land in the mid-rounds. If any trades go down over the course of the day, we’ll also be breaking down that movement league-wide.

Free Agency

Do the Islanders look to land anyone in free agency? Which UFA’s should we expect them to retain if any.

Derrick Brassard

Supposedly, the Isles have interest in bringing back Brassard for the third line. With the cap situation, we’re not so sure how good of an idea that is.

Quiz

Mitch is going to quiz me on someone who played 64 games in an Islanders sweater. This guessing game rarely goes well.

Social

In the social segment, we’ll answer questions and talk about the biggest stuff from Isles Twitter this past week.
