The Eyes on Isles Podcast returns for episode number 170 as Matt and Mitch will discuss all things New York Islanders on and off the ice.

It’s Wednesday! Which means it’s time for another episode of the Eyes On Isles Podcast. It was pretty quiet in Islanders land this week, outside of a jersey debate, but don’t worry we’re going to get into a ton of different topics today.

First, Mathew Barzal was ranked the 19th best center in the league. We’ll discuss the ranking and how he can move up that list in the future with a solid fourth season in the league.

Then, I’m sorry but we have to get into the reverse retro jersey. Mitch and I will discuss what we think of the look and which teams got their jerseys right. Expect some fireworks in this one.

Lastly, we want to get into our own reverse retro. What I mean is we will be taking a look back in time at five trades and five free-agent signings that we wouldn’t do.

Here’s what you can expect from episode 170:

Topics

Barzal ranking

Right now Mat Barzal is the 19th best forward. Is that fair, or should he rank higher? If not we’ll get into why he can move up that list this year.

Reverse Retro

Mitch and I will give our take on the newest Islanders jersey. Is it worth your money and what the Isles should’ve done instead?

Reverse Retro Remix

Going back in time and reversing five trades and five free-agent signings in Islanders history.

Quiz

Mitch is going to quiz me on someone who played 70 games in an Islanders sweater. This guessing game rarely goes well.

Social

In the social segment, we’ll answer questions and talk about the biggest stuff from Isles Twitter this past week.
