Twitter is an awful place for Josh Bailey slander. Now, the slander for the Islanders veteran forward has made its way to TikTok.
In the year of our lord 2020, Josh Bailey is still being slandered by some Islanders fans. The reason for the emphasis on the year is because this narrative at one point was valid. I too was critical of Josh Bailey…five years ago.
Over the past four years, he has put up 56, 71, 56, and 43 points (in 68 game season) and has been one of the Isles most productive forwards over that time. No longer is the Josh Bailey bad at hockey narrative valid.
It stems from years of underwhelming play, which did exist by the way no one is pretending it’s been a perfectly smooth ride. But the man had 20 points leading the team in the playoffs this year and it’s still not enough. He could score the Cup-clinching goal and some fans would still point to 2014 narratives to puff out their chest.
Unfortunately, on Twitter there is still a vocal minority beating the Josh Bailey is bad at hockey drum but now I’ve found out that it’s made its way to TikTok.

Yes, as I was mindlessly scrolling last night I was disturbed from my anti-Bailey safe space (or so I thought) with this parody video from user @amandawatcheshockey. So yes, now we have to be wary of the Bailey slander moving its way to the dancing app.
In all seriousness, Amanda is welcome to feel whatever way she wants about a player. I don’t necessarily agree with her take on hating a forward who has put up at least a 50 point pace the past four seasons but to each their own.

As the Eyes on Isles millennial, I thought it was my duty to share this video with our little community. Good thing Mitch still doesn’t know what TikTok is, otherwise he’d be very upset with this video.
