The Eyes on Isles Podcast returns for episode number 174 as Matt and Mitch will discuss all things New York Islanders on and off the ice.
We’re back for another episode of the Eyes on Isles Podcast to talk some New York Islanders hockey with you. On my drive into work today, I was honestly getting the itch for hockey so badly. I can’t wait for games to be back, even if fans aren’t allowed in to watch the games just having them on my TV will be perfect.
So with that, we’re going to talk about the upcoming 2021 season. What has to get done before we can start, who is coming back, and what we can expect to see from the Islanders before training camp starts back up.
The Isles made a trade this past week! It wasn’t anything big but the Islanders acquired Dmytro Timashov for future considerations (basically nothing). We’ll go over what we think of the move and what to expect.
Then, we’ll get into Mitch’s prospect report which will include an exclusive interview with Robin Salo. Mitch also has an update to share on World Juniors.
Here’s what to expect for episode 174:
Topics
2021 Season Prep
What has to happen before the 2021 season gets underway. Mitch and I will share thoughts on what’s left specifically for the Islanders.
Timoshov trade
The Isles essentially got him for nothing. What’s his ceiling and where does he go from here?
Down on the Farm
Mitch will share some info from his exclusive interview with Robin Salo and on top of that we’ll discuss the World Juniors.
Quiz
Mitch is going to quiz me on someone who played 74 games in an Islanders sweater. This guessing game rarely goes well.
Social
In the social segment, we’ll answer questions and talk about the biggest stuff from Isles Twitter this past week.
