After two off days, the New York Islanders are returning to take on the New Jersey Devils tonight for their fourth game of the year. After exploding for a four-goal performance in the opening night game, the offense has gone dry.

New York has just one goal over their last six periods and it comes courtesy of JG Pageau in the third period of their 1-0 win over Boston. It’s been quiet, but that doesn’t mean it’s going to stay like that.

Here are three options for you to play tonight in Daily Fantasy:

Semyon Varlamov

DraftKings: $8,100 | Fanduel: $8,100

Is he expensive? Yes. Is he worth it? Also, yes. In his two starts this year, Semyon Varlamov has not allowed a goal. Sure, that’s not going to be sustainable but if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. I fully expect him to get the start against New Jersey after back to back off days for the Isles.

When the team is healthy, Varlamov is excellent. Keep riding him until it stops working, and he’s a safe play in DFS.

Nick Leddy

DraftKings: $4,200 | Fanduel: $3,800

So far through three games, I like Nick Leddy’s play. In the absence of Devon Toews, he’s done a fairly solid job for the Islanders in a more offensive role picking up two assists in the opener. He’s averaging 20:32 a night, in his new role.

Eventually, the points are going to start to come. He’s a relatively cheap play in both DraftKings and Fanduel and should be able to return some good value.

Brock Nelson

DraftKings: $5,900 | Fanduel: $5,500

Through three games, Brock Nelson is leading the forwards in ice time getting 18:34 a night. He has one goal so far on the season. Usually, Nelson tends to start seasons hot. Although it isn’t Brocktober, Brockuary has a nice ring to it as well.

Expect Nelson to get a ton of ice time in this game, and if the Isles offense returns to form he should absolutely be involved.
