Tonight the New York Islanders take on the Penguins in Pittsburgh in what is the Islanders’ last game of a four-game road trip and their last road game in the month of February. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. eastern time.

Last time out the Penguins ended the Islanders’ impressive eight-game point streak en route to a 4-1 victory over the blue and orange.

The Islanders get another shot at Pittsburgh tonight to right their wrongs from Thursday in an important game in the East Division.

The New York Islanders sit two points ahead of the Pittsburgh Penguins in the standings.

The Islanders currently sit in fourth place in the East and the Penguins are right on their tails. It is worth noting that the Penguins have a game in hand on the Isles.

After tonight, the Isles close out February with a four-game homestand, which starts on Monday night against the Sabres.

Betting Odds

The Islanders come into today as the underdogs, courtesy of the Action network.

It was clear the Islanders did not have their game last time out and Trotz voiced his displeasure with their performance.

Expect the Isles to come out playing physical tonight as they look to shut down the Pens and split their two-game series.

Projected Lineups

8-5-3. . New York Islanders. . 106.

It looks like the Islanders will be making some lineup changes for tonight’s game. Kieffer Bellows looks to be out of the lineup tonight after Barry Trotz said there were no excuses for his performance on Thursday.

We could see Leo Komarov or Ross Johnston come in for Bellows on the third line. It  Michael Dal Colle will not play this evening after he left practice early yesterday. And it doesn’t look like Bellows will step in for Dal Colle either. Expect Komarov to take that spot on the third line.

The only other change the Isles are expected to make is in net. Ilya Sorokin is projected to come back in for Semyon Varlamov who played the first game in Pittsburgh.

The Islanders are projected to the lineup like this:

Lee-Barzal-Bailey
Beauvillier-Nelson-Eberle
Komarov-Pageau-Wahlstrom
Martin-Cizikas-Clutterbuck

Pelech-Pulock
Leddy-Mayfield
Dobson-Greene

Sorokin (Varlamov)

. 92. . 8-6-1. . Pittsburgh Penguins

The Penguins are not expected to make any alterations to their lineup this evening from the last game. If they are to make a change it will most likely be on their fourth line.

Pittsburgh is projected to name Tristian Jarry as their starter tonight after he made 31 saves on 32 shots on Thursday.

The Penguins are expected to lineup like this:

Guentzel-Crosby-Kapanen
Zucker-Malkin-Rust
Aston Reese- Blueger-Tanev
O’Connor-Jankowski-Lafferty

Joseph-Letang
Matheson-Marino
Pettersson-Ceci

Jarry (DeSmith)
