After an overtime loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins last night, the Islanders are back in action in a back-to-back situation today at 5:00 pm. For whatever reason, this team has struggled against Pittsburgh this year.

The Isles are 1-2-2 in five matchups vs Pittsburgh, the team they’ve played the most so far this season. They’ve given up a ton of goals against the Pens as well, which is something they don’t do against most teams.

18 goals against in five games is an average of 3.6 goals allowed which is more than a goal higher than their regular-season average of 2.5. With that in mind, here are three players to watch tonight in daily fantasy:

Anders Lee

DraftKings: $6,200 | Fanduel: $7,200

Barry Trotz said it himself, Anders Lee has been the team’s most consistent forward this year. He’s leading the team with nine goals on the season through 20 games and he has two goals in his last three contests.

He has just one goal against the Penguins this year, but expect that to change. Lee is a pretty safe bet to expect to make the scorecard.

Oliver Wahlstrom

DraftKings: $2,600 | Fanduel: $3,000

Don’t look now but Ollie has a three-game point streak for the Islanders. His ice time is still fairly low, but he’s been a productive part of this offense in the limited amount of time he sees on a nightly basis.

With his added time on the power play, I think Wahlstrom can pick up another point tonight. Let’s hope he finds the back of the net again too.

Nick Leddy

DraftKings: $3,800 | Fanduel: $4,200

Leddy has been an assist king for this team. He has 13 points (12 assists) for the Isles this year and has five assists in the team’s last five games. He’s been crushing it in this more offensive role for New York with Devon Toews’ departure.

Leddy would be on pace for a career-high 53 point season if the team was playing a full 82 games just to put it in perspective.
