The New York Islanders are on an absolute heater since the last time we spoke. They have points in nine straight games and are winners of six in a row. All four lines are rolling and things are looking up for this team.

First, we’ll get into the legitimacy of the team. NBC gave them credit on a national broadcast, is the rest of the league finally taking notice to them?

Also, their captain Anders Lee has been playing outstanding hockey. He has 12 goals to his name this year and is the only player in the league with 10+ goals, 3+ shots a game, and 1.5 hits per game.

Lastly, we’ll get into Mitch’s prospect update for this week. Here’s what you can expect from episode 186:

Topics

Legit or legit?

We’ll get into the point streak if they are legit, and what took so long for everyone else to catch on that this team is #good.

Anders Lee

Okay, Anders Lee is back and the haters are furious. We’ll talk about Lee’s season so far and why he is still one of the best power forwards in the league.

Down on the Farm

Mitch will update us on the latest prospect news and what to expect in the week ahead for those guys.

Quiz

Mitch is going to quiz me on someone who played 186 games in an Islanders sweater. This guessing game rarely goes well.

Social

In the social segment, we’ll answer questions and talk about the biggest stuff from Isles Twitter this past week.
