The Islanders are back in action coming off a 3-1 loss to the Washington Capitals. After going on a nine-game win streak, it was definitely one of the worst performances we’ve seen from this team in a while as they were just mentally out of it.

Tonight, they take on the reeling Flyers who just lost 9-0 to the New York Rangers last night. Can the Islanders beat up on them again or will this be a motivated Flyer team with a lot to prove?

Here are my three players to watch for tonight in daily fantasy:

Brock Nelson

DraftKings: $5,600 | Fanduel: $5,700

In two of his last six games, Brock Nelson has eclipsed 20 fantasy points. He’s been hot for the Islanders lately as he’s up to 12 goals. Half of those goals have come in the last seven games for Nelson.

The second line, as a unit, has to be better with both Josh Bailey and Anthony Beauvillier struggling. Perhaps a strong Brock performance gets them back on track.

Oliver Wahlstrom

DraftKings: $3,000  | Fanduel: $3,800

At this price, they’re practically begging you to take him in your lineup. He had 19 fantasy points in the Islanders last game against Washington and generated five shots. He’ll get his chances, and right now the team may need to rely on him with Anders Lee out of the picture.

In his last 12 games, Wahlstrom has eight points and five goals. The kid is practically begging for a bigger role. By the way, his ice time was over 14 minutes in the last two games.

Matt Martin

DraftKings: $2,500 | Fanduel: $3,000

What?! Yes, for the first time this year I’m playing Matt Martin. He’s been sneaky good this year with five goals in 30 games so far. Last year against the Flyers, he scored two goals in the 7 game series.

The fourth line has had a resurgence after a slow start and when the Islanders are playing well they usually get depth scoring so I’ll take the risk.
