After back-to-back losses to the Capitals and the Flyers, the Islanders are back in action looking to get back into the win column. They’re going to have to put a more consistent effort in today if they’re looking to do that against Philly.

Unfortunately, the last time out, The Isles pretty much sleepwalked through the first two periods before turning it on in period three, too little too late. I think the Anders Lee injury is hurting them both on and off the ice a little bit right now.

Barry Trotz also hinted at multiple lineup changes heading into tonight. With that in mind, here are three players to watch for today in daily fantasy.

Oliver Wahlstrom

DraftKings: $3,100 | Fanduel: $3,900

How do they keep giving him to you for this cheap! They are practically begging you to take him every game. He scored again in the Islanders loss to Philadelphia, putting up just over 13 fantasy points.

By the way, in his last 14 games, he has 10 points (6 goals, 4 assists). That’s a pace of 59 points (35 goals, 24 assists) over a full season. Yes, please.

Mathew Barzal

DraftKings: $6,400 | Fanduel: $6,700

In his last five games, Mathew Barzal has just one point. He’s been struggling and the penalty minutes have been up. His critics have been a little bit more vocal lately which reminded me of something, Barzal loves the spotlight.

I have a feeling he’s going to break out of this in a big way for the Islanders. A multipoint night for Barzal and 0 penalty minutes shuts up the haters for the next little while.

Brock Nelson

DraftKings: $5,800 | Fanduel: $5,600

Brock Nelson has cooled off a little bit with back-to-back pointless games after scoring six goals in the previous six games. If you’re on Long Island, look outside your window, it’s sunny and 55. Brock thrives in the good weather and we’re riding it.

Also, it helps that he’s had a bit of an offense resurgence but if I want to leave it up to the weather then I’ll leave it up to the weather.
