The Islanders are finally done with the Pittsburgh Penguins and I think I speak for everyone when I say thank God that’s the case. All year long, they’ve had the Isles number as they finished 2-4-2 against Pittsburgh.

Last time out Barry Trotz had some interesting lineup decisions, so we’ll get into that and why some of them were so weird. Also, we’ll talk about the streakiest man in the NHL, Anthony Beauvillier.

Last, but certainly not least, we’ll get into the prospect updates with Mitch. Here’s what you should expect from episode 189:

Topics

The Lineup

Why having Leo Komarov and Ross Johnston in major roles can’t happen anymore and what they need to fix.

Anthony Beauvillier

Anthony Beauvillier went four games in a row with a goal after being mostly invisible to start the year. Why is he so streaky and where should he play in this lineup?

Prospect Report

Mitch will give us some updates on the prospects playing around the globe. This is always the segment where I’m envious of his deep knowledge of international hockey.

Quiz

Mitch is going to quiz me on someone who played 189 games in an Islanders sweater. This guessing game rarely goes well.

Social

In the social segment, we’ll answer questions and talk about the biggest stuff from Isles Twitter this past week.
