Islanders: 3 Players To Watch In Daily Fantasy 4-3-21
After a dominant 8-4 win over the Washington Capitals, the Islanders are back in action tonight at the Nassau Coliseum vs the Philadelphia Flyers. It was the Mat Barzal show on Thursday night, and we’ll see if he can continue that against Philly.
The Flyers are struggling with a 4-5-1 record in their last 10 as they sit in fifth place three points behind the fourth-place Bruins. They’re bleeding goals right now, so it could be a good time for the Isles offense to cash in.
Here are three players who you should look to play in daily fantasy today:
Mathew Barzal
DraftKings: $6,200 | Fanduel: $6,700
I included him on Thursday, thank God, and I’ll do it again after the best performance of his NHL career. He had a hat trick and five points (56.5!!! fantasy points) in the 8-4 win over Washington. He has points in three straight games and over 19.5 points in two of the last three.
After going cold for a bit after the Anders Lee injury he is back on track and his season stats look much better with 33 points (13 goals, 20 assists) in 37 games. I’d be surprised if he put up five points again but a two-point performance can absolutely be in the cards.
Josh Bailey
DraftKings: $3,700 | Fanduel: $4,700
That’s really good value for Bailey in DraftKings by the way. He had a 24.5 fantasy point performance on Thursday putting up three points but more importantly, he’s starting to play a little more consistently.
With five points in the last four games, he’s up to 23 points in 37 games, which paced out over a full 82 game season is 51 points. That’s more like it for Bailey, who was struggling early on this season.
JG Pageau
DraftKings: $4,400 | Fanduel: $4,200
JG Pageau is having a tremendous season for the Islanders, but he’s been a little cold with no points in three straight. In the three games before that, he had six points so I guess it evened out.
It’s rare that we see Pageau go four games in a row without producing. He and Wahlstrom are important depth for this Islanders team and I think he gets back on the score sheet today against Philly.
