The New York Islanders are back in action tonight after having a big win over the Philadelphia Flyers. They’ll be taking on the cross-town rival Rangers who they haven’t played since a 2-0 win on February 8.

It’s clearly been a while since these teams played and a lot has changed. The Isles are currently sitting in first place in the East with the Rangers in sixth with 41 points trailing Philadelphia and Boston for the fourth spot in the division.

Here are three players you should watch for in daily fantasy today:

Mathew Barzal

DraftKings: $6,800 | Fanduel: $6,800

After a six-shot performance last night, I think Mat Barzal continues to get chances and puts one in the back of the net. In 15 career games vs the Rangers, Barzy has 20 career points (5 goals, 15 assists). His game just rises in this rivalry matchup.

In four of his last six games, he has double-digit fantasy points and over that span, he has nine points and four goals.

Anthony Beauvillier

DraftKings: $4,500 | Fanduel: $4,400

Speaking of players who own the Rangers, enter Anthony Beauvillier. In 16 career games, he has nine goals and 16 points. I guess Beau likes the rivalry matchups just as much as Mat Barzal.

Over Beau’s last 10 games he has six goals to his name and five games in double digits in terms of fantasy points. He seems like a safe play for today’s contest.

Semyon Varlamov

DraftKings: $8,000 | Fanduel: $8,200

I am confident in saying that Ilya  Sorokin will not be playing today in the back-to-back. I’m back on the goalie train after a brief hiatus. Semyon Varlamov is coming off a shutout where he stopped all 29 shots he faced.

With a .922 save percentage and a sub-2.20 goals against average he is a safe play on any night. Varly has not allowed a goal against the Rangers in two starts this year.
