We’re up to episode 200 of the Eyes on Isles podcast! For this momentous occasion, we’ll be discussing the Islanders and Lightning series so far through two games. It’s tied at 1-1 and both games have been fairly different.

In Game 1, the Isles were able to shut it down and win a low-scoring 2-1 contest where they limited chances. In Game 2, it was the explosive offense from Tampa that stole the show as they won 4-2.

Now, the series shifts to the Coliseum for Game 3 and Game 4. We’ll get into the series and why the Lightning are the Isles mountain. Also, Mitch has some info for us on down on the farm this week as well. Here’s what you can expect from episode 200:

Topics

Positive vibes

The Islanders split on the road, which is all you can ask. Now the series shifts back home to Nassau Coliseum.

Lighting are the Islanders mountain

Like Pittsburgh was for Washington, Tampa is the mountain for the Islanders. They’ve knocked the Isles out twice since 2016 and if the Isles are to finally get over the hump they have to conquer the mountain.

Down on the Farm

Mitch will give some updates on the farm system and things he’s heard this week

Quiz

Mitch is going to quiz me on someone who played 200 games in an Islanders sweater. This guessing game rarely goes well.

Social

In the social segment, we’ll answer questions and talk about the biggest stuff from Isles Twitter this past week.
