The New York Islanders, like the rest of the NHL, are preparing for the Expansion Draft. This week, they’ll be making a list of players that they’d like to protect for the draft and submitting it to Seattle.

A week from today, the expansion draft will be happening and on Sunday we should find out who the Islanders are protecting in the draft. Episode 204 will be a heavy focus on the draft, and Mitch and I will submit protected lists.

We’ll also hit on some of the trade rumors that have been going around the past week, and of course, we’ll get into down on the farm as well with Mitch. Here’s what you should expect from episode 204:

Topics

Expansion

Mitch and I will give our protected list, discuss who we think the Islanders should put on the list and why, and everything in between.

Rumors

Will Jordan Eberle and/or Nick Leddy be on the move this week? We’ll get into why they’re available and what it could mean for the 2021-2022 team.

Down on the Farm

Mitch will give us updates from around the Islanders prospect pool, including what he found out from the Saint John Sea Dogs GM.

Quiz

On the quiz, Mitch will pick a random player in Islanders history and I have to try to guess who that player is based on five clues. It’s usually a blast.

Social

In the social segment, we’ll answer questions and talk about the biggest stuff from Isles Twitter this past week.
