The New York Islanders have finally made a move! Since the last time we spoke, Adam Pelech has reached an eight-year contract extension with the Islanders. It came as a surprise with his arbitration date still six days away.

He is now an Islander for the foreseeable future at a manageable $5.75 million AAV. Also, we are going to discuss Lou Lamoriello tonight.

The Isles GM has done a good job managing the cap over the last two years to keep the Isles compliant. How did he do it and why is he so secretive when it comes to signing his deals and giving out AAV’s.
