Highlights from 2026-27 NY Islanders promotional schedule revealed

The New York Islanders have unveiled several highlights from their 2026-27 promotional schedule, with bobbleheads, specialty nights and exclusive giveaways set to be featured throughout the season at UBS Arena.

The festivities begin with the home opener on October 3, when every fan in attendance will receive an exclusive Islanders t-shirt presented by UBS.

A little more than a month later, the Islanders will honor members of the armed forces with Military Appreciation Night on November 7. The first 10,000 fans in attendance will receive an Islanders camouflage hat presented by Ford.

One of the most anticipated giveaways comes on November 27, when the Islanders host Ilya Sorokin Bobblehead Night. All fans in attendance will receive a collectible bobblehead featuring the Islanders’ star goaltender and his No. 30 jersey.

The giveaways continue on December 1 with GOAT USA Night, when the first 10,000 fans will receive a special Chuck the Goat ornament.

Perhaps the most notable addition to the schedule comes later in the season.

On February 13, the Islanders will hold Matthew Schaefer Bobblehead Night, with all fans in attendance receiving a bobblehead of No. 48. The giveaway, presented by Northwell, provides another indication of just how quickly Schaefer has become one of the faces of the organization.

The Islanders will then combine hockey with one of pop culture’s biggest franchises on March 7 for Star Wars Day. As part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Star Wars, the first 10,000 fans will receive a limited-edition bucket hat courtesy of Dime Commercial Bank.

Between Sorokin and Schaefer bobbleheads, specialty apparel and themed nights, the 2026-27 promotional calendar gives Islanders fans plenty of additional reasons to make their way to UBS Arena.
