The New York Islanders face off against the Ottawa Senators on Monday after going 3-for-3 on their latest road trip.

Sure, the Isles are still near the bottom of the Metro Division standings. But as we’ve seen in the past, one successful string of games can mark an inflection point in a team’s season.

Conversely, a string of poor outings can derail a team’s efforts. Fortunately, we’re not here to talk about a losing streak. Quite the opposite. We’re here to talk about how the Isles’ recent winning streak could be the beginning of the turnaround we’ve all been waiting for.
