It appears the NY Islanders will be adding to their organizational depth, as Stefen Rosner of The Hockey News has reported the Islanders will be signing winger Pierrick Dubè after terminating his contract with SKA St. Petersburg of the KHL.
Dubè, 25, was born in Lyon, France, making his way to North America, where he played for the Quebec Remparts of the QMJHL under current Islanders head coach Patrick Roy.
Dubè would go undrafted, signing on with the Trois-Rivieres Lions of the ECHL in 2022 after his junior career ended.
Pierrick Dubè to sign with the Islanders
After playing the 2023-24 season split between Trois-Rivieres and the Laval Rocket of the AHL, Dubè earned a two-way contract with the Washington Capitals.
He’d make his NHL debut on Feb. 24, 2024, playing three games for the Caps and the remainder of the season with the Hershey Bears. There, Dubè had the best season of his professional career, scoring 28 goals and adding 20 assists in 66 games.
I'm told that 25-year-old forward Pierrick Dubé, who just terminated his contract with the KHL's SKA, is coming over & joining the #Isles organization.

In that season, Dubè suffered a scary facial injury in Game 3 of the Conference Finals, taking a puck to the face off a teammate's slapshot. He’d return for Game 7 with his mouth wired shut, scoring a goal in the decisive game.
After one more season in the AHL, Dubè signed a deal in the KHL with Traktor Chelyabinsk - the former team of Maxim Shabanov. There, Dubè scored seven goals and added seven assists before being shipped to SKA St. Petersburg in a cap dump. After just seven games, Dubè elected to terminate his contract.
Dubè will likely report to Bridgeport once signed and will serve as additional organizational depth for the Islanders.
