NY Islanders fans will have plenty of wild new food options at UBS Arena

If the hockey somehow isn't entertaining enough at UBS Arena this season, the food certainly should be. The New York Islanders and UBS Arena are rolling out a new group of concession options for the 2026-27 season, and some of them are about as unconventional as arena food gets.

The headliner is probably the Nerds Gummy Cluster Brie Grilled Cheese, available in Section 220. It combines brie on grilled bread with colorful Nerds Gummy Clusters. Yes, that is really a thing.

But it has plenty of competition for the most interesting item on the menu.

There is Rangoon Toast in Section 213, a loaded open-faced creation topped with a creamy crab Rangoon-style filling, sauce and scallions. Section 108 will feature the massive Chicken Cutlet Strombo "LI," while Sections 119 and 214 will offer both a Bodega Burger and a Hot Honey and Pork Rind Pimento Cheeseburger.

For fans looking for something lighter (relatively speaking), Section 111 will feature a Burrata Boat topped with tomatoes, fried bites, burrata and balsamic. Section 102 adds Poke Esquites, and Section 119 will also serve a South Shore Berry Boba Shake.

And that's in addition to the previously announced Uncrustable pulled pork tostada, featuring a fried peanut butter and jelly sandwich topped with pulled pork and grape jelly barbecue sauce.

UBS Arena has made food a big part of the game-day experience since opening, and this year's menu is clearly leaning into the idea that concessions should be memorable, not just convenient.

Some of these sound genuinely good. Others sound like something you order because you need to see if it actually works.

Either way, the Nerds grilled cheese is going to get attention.
