After months of speculation, Hockey Canada has announced their full roster for the 2026 Winter Olympics, with one NY Islanders player wearing the Maple Leaf on his chest.
Bo Horvat, who wasn’t part of the 4 Nations Face-Off, was among the 14 forwards selected to represent the Canadians in Milan.

Off to the best start to his career, Horvat has been a monster on the ice for the Islanders and arguably the team's MVP, registering 21 goals and 12 assists through 35 games.

Doug Armstrong, the St. Louis Blues GM and GM for Canada, sees Horvat as a player who can pretty much play anywhere in the lineup for the Canadians.
“Bo has a lot of the attributes we’re looking for,” Armstrong says. “We want to be able to play inside - get to the net. He’s a player that played left wing with MacKinnon at the World Championships last year. Can play multiple positions for us. I think right now, of the players selected for us, he’s the highest-rated face-off guy, so he adds that element to the selection process. Just an all-around good 200-foot player. Can touch both ends of the special teams if needed and has a multi-positional aspect to him that made him a very appealing player for us.”
