When the New York Islanders selected Cole Eiserman, they added one of the most electrifying young scorers in the game to their prospect pool. Now entering his sophomore season with the Boston University Terriers, Eiserman has already made a name for himself as one of the NCAA’s most dangerous shooters. His release is quick, deceptive, and powerful - a rare combination that has scouts and fans alike excited about what he could bring to Long Island in the near future.

Eiserman’s ability to score goals has followed him everywhere. Before arriving at BU, he was one of the most prolific players in the U.S. National Team Development Program, racking up goals at a pace that rivaled elite names before him. That same knack for finding the back of the net has translated seamlessly to college hockey, where his shot has been described as NHL-ready despite his young age. That shot was on display in a video recently shared by BAUER Hockey of Eeiserman, aiming for and successfully pinging the puck off the cross-bar or posts time and time again. His quick release is fully on display along with his accuracy. He's a player who loves to shoot and shoot some more.

The BAUER Hockey video was part of a video where one of their digital creators tested out the new Bauer VAPOR FLYLITE stick, Corwin McCallum gathered 1,000 pucks on the ice and shot all of them (minus the 100 that special guest Eiserman shot).

"His shot is incredible," said BU head coach Jay Pandolfo last season. "He's the type of guy that he'll go back at all the shots he took, and if he doesn't score on them, he'll work on that particular shot. His work ethic is off the charts. Not a lot of guys do that, he'll see an area where he thinks he should have put it in the net and if he doesn't, he'll go work on that particular thing."

For Islanders fans, the hope is simple: that Eiserman’s scoring touch will eventually fill a need the team has struggled with for years - consistent goal scoring from the wing. The timeline, however, remains a key factor. While Eiserman is expected to spend at least one more season at BU, there’s a possibility he could sign with the Islanders as soon as spring 2026. More likely, fans will see him turn pro after his junior season, giving him the chance to mature physically and round out his two-way game before making the leap to the NHL. If development continues on track, it won’t be long before Eiserman’s booming release is showcased at UBS Arena.
