The NY Islanders' revamped prospect pool has been a topic of conversation this year with Matthew Schaefer leading the way.

But with the NCAA season underway, one prospect who is catching everyone’s attention is 2024 first-round pick Cole Eiserman.

After an outstanding freshman campaign in which he scored 25 goals, Eiserman looks even more impressive through his first two games of his sophomore season.

Eiserman starts the season on fire

Now in a leadership role with Boston University, wearing an “A” on his sweater, Head Coach Jay Pandolfo is expecting bigger things out of his sniper.

After scoring twice and adding an assist in the Terriers' first game against Long Island University, Eiserman followed it up with two more goals Friday night against Colgate and another last night against the same opponent.

Last summer’s 20th overall pick, Eiserman’s quick release and one-timer have been on full display, scoring twice off one-timers from the right circle.

Outside of his goal-scoring prowess, through three games, Eiserman has improved his overall game, catching the eye of many.

“He has been a terror,” NHL prospect reporter Scott Wheeler of The Athletic said on X. “More competitive than anyone gave him credit, nose for the net, and every shot type in the arsenal.”

Eiserman and the Terriers are currently ranked No. 3 in the nation and could very well move to No. 1 by next week, as Western Michigan and Michigan State, the current top two teams, have suffered early-season losses.

BU will take on Michigan State at home for a back-to-back set on Friday and Saturday as Eiserman looks to add to his torrid start.
