We're only a few weeks removed from Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals and hockey withdrawal is already in full effect.

Now that the NHL Draft and the feeding frenzy that is the first day of free agency have passed, we are without NHL and NY Islanders hockey until training camp kicks off in September.

Though it's not the rush and excitement that comes along with regular season games, Da Beauty League is getting ready to kick off this summer with 5 Islanders set to participate - Brock Nelson, Mike Reilly, Anders Lee, Hudson Fasching, and Dennis Chowlowski

The league which is held each summer in Edina, Minnesota, is a 4-on-4 league consisting mostly of NHL and AHL players from Minnesota, hoping to keep their skills sharp and have some fun on the ice during the summer months.

Da Beauty League is made up of four teams, with Nelson named the captain of Team Anderson, with Reilly as his teammate. Lee will be playing for Team Tria and Fasching with Team Walser, and Chowlowski laces them up for Team Element.

Joining these current Islanders are also former members of the Islanders organization. Fan favorite Nick Leddy will join his Lee on Team Tria, while last year's captain of the Bridgeport Islanders (who may still return this season), Seth Helegson, teams up with Fasching. Aaron Ness, who was with the Islanders from 2011-2014, will play on the league's fourth team, Team Element.

The league is set to start up tonight, with the finals scheduled for August 28th, where the two top teams will compete for the John Scott Cup, named after the former NHL enforcer.

The league is adding a new element this season, as a women's division has been announced, with two teams joining in on the action in a separate division.
