Bridgeport Islanders release 2022-23 schedule

The AHL Bridgeport Islanders released their 72-game 2022-23 schedule on Thursday. The season starts on the road Friday, Oct. 14th against the Providence Bruins. The home opener at Total Morgage Arena is on Saturday, October 22nd versus the Laval Rocket.

Brent Thompson's team will look to return to the Calder Cup Playoffs after clinching a spot in the playoffs for the first time since 2018-19 a season ago. After sweeping Providence, the Islanders were knocked out in the second round by the Charlotte Checkers, the Atlantic Division's top seed.

The home schedule includes 12 Saturday nights, six (6) Sunday afternoons, and six (6) Friday night games. Bridgeport will face 12 different opponents at Total Mortgage Arena in 2022-23 and sixty-two (62) of the 72 games (86.1%) are against Atlantic Division opponents.
