The NY Islanders look to start 2023 on a good note and extend their winning streak as they visit Jordan Eberle and the Seattle Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena on Sunday night. Seattle has a 9-8-2 record at home this season.

The Isles enter tonight's game riding a three-game winning streak following Thursday's 2-1 win vs the Columbus Blue Jackets. Meanwhile, the Kraken are going in the opposite directing, having lost three straight, including being blown out 7-2 by the Edmonton Oilers in their last game. Historical Matchup
This will be the first meeting of the season between the Islanders and the second-year Kraken. Last year, the teams meant twice, both in February with the road team winning each game. The Kraken came to UBS Arena and shutout the Isles 3-0 in the first ever meeting between the two teams on Feb. 2. New York got even on Feb. 22 with a 5-2 win, Zach Parise scored twice in the victory.

Andre Burakovsky has 10 goals and 18 assists for the Kraken. Daniel Sprong has six goals over the last 10 games. How about former Islanders forward Jordan Eberle? The 32-year-old Eberle has had a solid season playing on the Kraken's top line; he's currently second on the team in points with 27, just one behind Burakovsky with 8 goals and 19 assists.
