Islanders Podcast Preview: Mat Barzal COVID & Youth Punished

We're back with episode 226 of the Eyes on Isles Podcast and we're going to be breaking down a few things on the show today. First and foremost the New York Islanders lost yet another player to COVID and this time it's Mat Barzal.

Barzal is on the long list of names who have tested positive around the NHL in the last 48 hours or so. Unfortunately, it's a league-wide issue right now and something that doesn't look to be improving anytime soon.

Also, we'll be getting into the Isles youth. It seems like Barry Trotz is okay with punishing the younger players but is reluctant to do so with the veterans. We'll break this down a little further on the pod tonight.
