It's time for another episode of the Eyes on Isles podcast. This week, we'll be starting off with the Islanders need to win against quality opponents. Yes, they've beaten up on the Philadelphia Flyers and teams of that nature but what about teams over .500 and in the playoff race?

We will start there and get into why it is so important for the team to actually start winning against some of the best teams in the NHL. Next up, a retool discussion.

Neither Mitch nor I are done with the season but if the Islanders were to retool how would you do it? I go through my plan on how I would accomplish just that for 2022-2023. Mitch will then get into Down on the Farm and we will take care of the quiz and social segment too. Here's what to expect from episode 232:

Topics

Beating good teams

Most recently, the Islanders lost to the Toronto Maple Leafs and Washington Capitals when facing "quality opponents" what do they have to do in order to start beating some of these good teams in the league.

Retooling

If the Islanders become sellers at the trade deadline, here is how they can go about retooling for the 2022-2023 season. We'll discuss.

Down on the Farm

Mitch will update us on all things prospects in this segment.

Quiz

On the quiz, Mitch will pick a random player in Islanders history and I have to try to guess who that player is based on five clues. It’s usually a blast.

Social

In the social segment, we’ll answer questions and talk about the biggest stuff from Isles Twitter this past week.
