The New York Islanders are returning to play tomorrow...maybe! We're back for episode 230 of the Eyes on Isles podcast and this week, we have a couple of things to get into. First, not a lot has changed, since they haven't played since January 1, but we will update you on the upcoming games.
With three out of their next four against the New Jersey Devils and Philadelphia Flyers the Isles have a good chance to begin their climb. We'll also give an update on the standings situation.
The Islanders are currently 14 points out of a playoff spot with four games in hand on Boston. Pittsburgh is the first Wild Card at 47 points but they have played seven more games than the Islanders have. The moral of the story, work has to be done but they have a ton of games to make it up.
