Continuing with the theme of selecting top-100 prospects that skate very well in the mid rounds, the New York Islanders were able to squeak defenseman Isaiah George into their prospect pool selecting him in the fourth round, 98th overall.

George stands at 6-feet tall, 196 pounds, an NHL-ready frame. George played 67 games for the OHL London Knights last season potting six goals and 23 points.

Eliteprospects.com pegs George as an excellent puck-moving defenseman:

"At his best, the Knights defenceman is an effortless puck-carrier, darting past forecheckers with agility and power to create exits and entries, often on the same rush. His nearly form- perfect mechanical forward stride is a real asset in this regard. Those same skills translate to neutral zone defensive sequences, where George gaps up early, takes away the middle of the ice with a strong defensive stick, and closes with urgency and force at the right moment to end possession or force an uncontrolled play."

Chris Peters of FloHockey also praises the Islanders draft selection stating there's plenty of upside in George's game:

"Isaiah George goes 98th to the Islanders. He was one of my best players available for me, No. 75 on my list. So much potential there. As he matures and gets more ice time, could be a real value add here. Just going to need patience."

The Islanders have amassed an excellent crop of skilled, elite skaters thus far in the 2022 NHL Draft. George will return to the OHL and play for the Knights next season.
