The New York Islanders are back on the ice today against a struggling Philadelphia Flyers side. These two teams have met already recently, twice in fact. Both times the Islanders came out on top. And things haven't gone well for the Flyers (before and since).

The Flyers are struggling massively of late. They're on a 12-game losing skid and find themselves bottom of the Metro (tied on points with the Isles). They've already played 42 games on the year and hold a 0.405 points percentage, the sixth-worst points percentage in the NHL.

Tonight is another chance to get two points on the board and potentially leapfrog the Devils (assuming they don't pick up any points on the Dallas Stars today). But the Isles can't walk into this one thinking the two points are sealed. They've got to play a full 60 and treat this like the game it is; a must-win.

Islanders Projected Lineups

It seems that after eighty minutes of sitting on the sidelines (one third period plus a full game), Oliver Wahlstrom will be in the lineup for the Isles. And the changes won't likely stop there, with the top line being MIA for a while, Barry Trotz is making some changes up top.

So here's a guess as to how things might look for the Isles tonight:
Beauvillier-Barzal-Parise
Lee-Nelson-Bailey
Czarnik-Pageau-Wahlstrom
Martin-Cizikas-Clutterbuck

Chara-Dobson
Pelech-Mayfield
Salo-Greene

Sorokin (Varlamov)

At the pre-game presser, Trotz indicated that Wahlstrom will be in and Nelson spoke about playing alongside Anders Lee again. The rest of this lineup is projected based on those two moves.

Betting Odds

As you could expect, with the game taking place at the Isles UBS Arena, the Islanders are favored to win. According to WynnBet, the Isle are heavy favorites tonight with the money line currently sitting at -230 for the Isles to the Flyers +200.
