Katie Ledecky shares Gold Medal selfie with uncle and NY Islanders owner Jon Ledecky

While we're all patiently and hopefully awaiting for NHL players to make their return at the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympics, the top athletes in the world are competing in the summer games in Paris.

The headliner in the pool and for Team USA is none other than Katie Ledecky - one of the greatest athletes in Olympic history.

We all know that NY Islanders owner Jon Ledecky is Katie's uncle and one of her biggest supporters. Jon was present in Paris watching on as his niece walked away with medals in all four events she competed in.

After winning her second Gold Medal of the week on Saturday in the Women's 800 Meter Freestyle, Katie, her uncle Jon, and Bruce Beck, the lead sports anchor at NBC New York, got together for a selfie, displaying Katie's two gold, silver, and bronze medals.

Her win in the 800 Meter Freestyle made Ledecky a 4-time Gold medalist in the event, topping the podium in London, Rio, Tokyo, and Paris.

Aside from her gold in the 800 Meter Freestyle, Ledecky took the top spot in the 1500 Meter Freestyle, blowing the opposition out of the water on her way to setting an Olympic record time of 15:20.02. She also took home silver in the Women's 4x200 Freestyle Relay, and bronze in 400 Meter Freestyle.

Ledecky's nine Olympic Gold Medals make her the most decorated American female Olympic athlete of all time and ties her for most Gold medals of all time by a female with Russian gymnast Larisa Latynina, who won nine golds between 1956 and 1964.

Heading back to the United States, Jon Ledecky has his eyes set on winning some hardware of his own, as the Islanders hope to end their 41-year Stanley Cup drought.

But before leaving the pool in Paris, Jon made sure to get one more photo with Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, star, Mariska Hargitay, while rocking his Islanders polo.
