The New York Islanders 2023-24 schedule was released Tuesday afternoon, and as previously reported by The Hockey News, the Isles will open the regular season at home against the Buffalo Sabres on Oct. 14 at UBS Arena.

Lane Lambert's team will start the season on a three-game homestand with games against the Arizona Coyotes and New Jersey Devils. A playoff rematch between the Islanders and the Metropolitan Division champion Carolina Hurricanes will take place on Nov. 4 at UBS Arena.

The team's Western Canada trip will occur in November this year, with games in Edmonton, Vancouver, and Seattle. The game against the Canucks on Nov. 15 will be a return for former Canucks captain Bo Horvat. Last year, that trip right after the start of the new year was the beginning of a brutal January for the team where they struggled to score more than two goals and win games, falling out of playoff position ahead of the Horvat trade on Jan. 30
