In what has been a whirlwind of a season for the NY Islanders, we’ve reached the 4 Nations Face-Off break, without Islanders hockey until Feb. 23rd.
Accumulating 57 points through 55 games the Islanders are four points out of playoff position, as just about the entire team will have two weeks off before playing in another competitive game. That goes for all players and coaches aside from Brock Nelson.
A surprise selection to many who don’t watch the Isles every single night, Nelson will be the lone Islander represented in the tournament.
Though we’re still missing some of the hockey-rich nations across the world, it’s great to see best-on-best hockey as Canada, the USA, Sweden, and Finland prepare to showcase their skills to the world.
To celebrate the beginning of the 4 Nations Face-Off, we take a look at the best Islanders players from each participating country.
