Launched in the Fall of 2024, Gotham Sports Network became the streaming platform for everything MSG and YES Network. After just two seasons as the go-to provider for those without traditional cable, the network will shut down this fall, as customers will now see everything Islanders, Rangers, Devils, Yankees, and Nets on DAZN.

“We couldn’t be happier to offer our fans this opportunity to watch MSG Networks content on their state-of-the-art platform,” Kevin Marotta, MSG Networks’ Senior Vice President of content and marketing, said. “Coming off of a historic Knicks championship season, we are excited to take our streaming offering to the next level.”

In less than two years of its existence, Gotham Sports Network received brutal reviews from its customers, as the stream frequently rebuffed and struggled with consistent picture quality.

DAZN has mostly marketed to Boxing, with a number of Jake Paul bouts seen on the streaming service. DAZN's biggest venture was obtaining the U.S. rights for the FIFA Club World Cup in the Summer of 2025.

For those who cut the cord but used Gotham Sports Network, the cost of the service for the year was $300. With DAZN, they'll receive the same viewership, but at a lower price, as the yearly cost is $250.

Viewers who still use traditional cable but would turn to Gotham Sports Network on their phone, tablet, or computer when away from home at no additional cost will still be able to use their login credentials with DAZN in the same way.
