To either the joy or disappointment of NY Islanders fans, the team will play 10 games on national television this season in the US. While some may be excited for the Isles to play in front of a national audience, the disappointment comes from missing Brendan Burke and Butch Goring on the call for 10 games.

Here are the 10 games you can catch the Isles on ESPN, ESPN+/Hulu, or TNT:

Oct. 16 vs. Edmonton Oilers, ESPN+/Hulu
Oct. 30 @ Carolina Hurricanes, ESPN+/Hulu
Dec. 9 vs. Vegas Golden Knights, TNT
Jan. 6 vs. NJ Devils, ESPN+/Hulu
Jan. 21 @ Seattle Kraken, TNT
Jan. 28 vs. NY Rangers
Feb. 3 vs. Pittsburgh Penguins
March 1 vs. Florida Panthers
March 5 @ Los Angeles Kings
March 5 @ Los Angeles Kings

While 10 nationally televised games may seem like a lot for the Islanders, it matches their total from last season, and is the sixth most in the Metro Division, tied with the Devils, and ahead of the Columbus Blue Jackets (6). The Washington Capitals lead the league with 18.

Outside of missing the MSG broadcast, it seems to be the Islanders tend to put on a subpar performance while playing in front of a national audience. While it’s completely coincidental, it’s something the fans lean on, heading into the game expecting the Islanders to come out slow.

While expectations for the team aren’t enormous this season, as it appears Mathieu Darche is building a roster that can perform at a higher level over the next two seasons, the Isles have an opportunity to put the other fan bases on notice if they come out hot in these nationally televised games.
